  • Do you do commissions?

    • Yes, absolutely! I can tailor your painting to a treasured memory of a time or a place.

    How much are commissions?

    • It varies in cost depending on size and details you want in the painting. But commissions can be from $500.00 to $5000.00 NZD

    How much deposit is required?

    • Once an agreement has been met between the client and the artist Carrie Ladbrook, a 50% deposit is required to start the work and the remainder to be paid upon completion.

What if I don’t like my painting and change my mind?

    • Carrie works closely with her clients to build a strong relationship, maintain clear communication and clarification around commission works. But at the end of the day it is Carries interpretation of the subject that dictates the end result. As much as good intentions are set, unfortunately sometimes the commissioned work does not meet the expectation of the client for various reasons. If no agreement can be made upon completion of the painting, the artist Carrie, will retain the 50% deposit and the work.

*please note this has only happened once in Carries 6 year career, and was prior to asking for the 50% deposit.

Where can I see your works in person?

    • I have some works at REI gallery in Lyttleton and I frequently attend local competitions and art shows in Te Waipounamu, the South Island of Aotearoa, New Zealand.

    Do you allow private viewings?

    • Absolutely! Just call to make an appointment where you can view all my works and see what I am currently working on.

Are you open to the public?

    • Unfortunately not at this point due to my location. But please feel free to book an appointment to have an exclusive art viewing or keep up to date with my summer mobile art gallery locations and art show events on my Facebook, Instagram or Tik Tok accounts.
