Acrylic and Neon on 1100 x 500 x 40 Boxed Canvas

$989.00 NZD

As we meandered our way through the depths of the Haast Pass, Te Waipounamu, Aotearoa, I contemplated what the Waitaha/Canterbury whenua looked like before the affects humans. The many manu that would have traversed the planes, the Moa, the Spoonbills and the Haast Eagle. I imagined the vast glaciers that fed the large winding awa and the deep Ngahere that coated the land filled with protection and life. What a vast contrast to what is here now. All deforested, dry and used.

You really do need to view this piece in person and then in Neon to appreciate its full impressive narrative. I have included many little animals and creatures that are native to our whenua.
